Live Review: MØ - O2 Academy, Bristol 07/04/18

stopped by the O2 Academy in Bristol this month while on her UK tour, with supports coming from Meadowlark and Skott this night was going to be energetic.

The Danish singer songwriter kicked off her set with ‘Roots’ a slow synthy track which built up for an ambient vibe around the room, ready for heavy hitting ‘Nights For You’. With cats being her spirit animal, which she mentioned in an interview with VEVO, her tour is coincidentally called the Meøw Tour. Are you a cat or dog person though?

Back to the thunderous set, unleashed her newest single ‘Nostalgia’ to the Bristol crowd which went down a storm. Heading into the tail end of her set, the summer bangers came out and the carnival started, hitting it off with ‘Cold Water’ into ‘After Coachella’, then final three tracks ‘Lean on’, ‘Don’t Leave’ and then the very apt last song, ‘Final Song’.

A set so energetic from one woman, which nails on why she is such a dominant figure in current pop music. , pinning Denmark on the map for popular music and that pin won’t be moving anytime soon.
