Brighton post punk band Thyla have released a superb new single ‘Blue’ which is the second track taken from their debut EP, ‘What’s On Your Mind’ dropping February 1.

Thyla started the year being tipped for big things as the four piece were named in NME’s 100 essential acts 2018. They have also spent the year receiving national airplay on Radio 1 & Radio X and supported many great bands on tour including Slaves. The post punk band have also gone on to play their own headline shows and now have tour dates lined up for the U.S next year proving that Thyla are going to be one of the breakout bands of 2019. The release of new single ‘Blue’ is arguably their best release to date and will only increase their vast growing fanbase.

‘Blue’ is a tremendous release which contains lots of glittering guitar and soaring vocals which gives the song a calm melody, but when the chorus kicks in, the band turn it up to the max and produce this wonderfully arranged tune. Nothing in the song seems out of place, it all has its purpose and it shows off all of their capabilities. The rhythm throughout the whole of the song is contained but it’s the chorus of the song which shows why Thyla are a great post punk band. 2019 will be a very exciting year for Thyla.
