Jesse Jo Stark Explains:
Where was the video for Wish I Was Dead filmed?
Joshua Tree.

How does the video connect with the song?
In my head ... it just does.

Could you tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?
I had just gotten back from London the night before, was going on no sleep. I believe the jet lag lended to the playfulness you see on my face. I wanted sexy vignettes almost on repeat and I knew I wanted the video to start still with me being held by a monster. Dana and I didn’t have a thought-out plan going in. We had shot at this hotel prior together and I knew we’d kill it again.

Is there a message the video is trying to convey?
Being in yer own skin is cool . It’s empowering. being playful and sexy. finding the humour in love and the roll you take on.
