Calva Louise - 'Outrageous'

Calva Louise have released new single ‘Outrageous’, continuing with their bold and infectious style, the band are certainly onto big things. This single has body shaking energy from the get go, with the words ‘IT’S OUTRAGEOUS’ bursting through within only the first second. Continuously changing pace, catchy vocals come paired with obscure riffs, which constructs a fun and striking single. This song has been a real stand out during live shows, so it’s great to hear it sounding so loud on record.

Calva Louise have well and truly been riding the wave, gaining a lot of attention for their raucous yet gracious style. With recent support slots for Spring King and Anteros and playing gigs for This Feeling, the band have no doubt picked up new fans at every show along the way. You see it’s hard not to have your attention instantly grabbed by this band, they are distinctive, they are daring and they are hugely likeable characters.

Speaking about the track, singer Jess Allanic said “Outragous deals with the lack of common sense we experience nowadays. We adventure ourselves into reality with a pinch of humour and optimism.”

We’re expecting big things in the coming months from the London based trio. Although currently only three singles have been released, we’re not sure how long it’ll be before we’re treat to a debut album, but we’re prepared to wait if it sounds anything like their existing singles.

The uncertainty of when more music might be released means that seeing Calva Louise at their live shows is an exciting way to hear new material. Make sure to catch them play at one of their UK festival dates this summer.
