With 2000Trees Festival just over a month away, we had a talk with Grumble Bee ahead of his appearance at the festival.

Are you looking forward to 2000 Trees Festival? We bet you are super excited?

Absolutely thrilled to be back this year. It’s one of my favourite festivals, so just to get another chance to play this year is great.

What stage are you playing this year? Is there anyone you are looking forward to sharing that stage with?

I’m opening the Forest Sessions with a solo acoustic set around 10.30/11am on the Friday and I’m looking forward to catching Jamie Lenman and Fatherson later on, amongst others.

Can we expect anything special for this festival performance?

I’ve upgraded a fair few bits of kit since last year, like my little marshall 1974x combo amp, and I’m now on in-ear monitors, so I can hear my vocal pitch a little better too. Just little bits, but the experience I’ve gained over the last year from playing acoustic shows is amazing.

Have you been 2000 Trees before? Any tips for first goers?

Yeah, twice before - playing full band/acoustic and unplugged sets! I can’t get enough haha! I’d definitely advise checking out as many bands/acts as possible at this sort of festival, as everything is fairly close together and the line up is always full of actually solid bands.

Is there one band everyone should check out this year at the festival?

I’d recommend watching Enter Shikari, as their live show/production is always something special. The amount of effort put into their shows is inspiring!

2000Trees Festival takes place 12th/13th/14th July 2018, to buy your tickets click here. Grumble Bee's new EP 'Everything Inbetween' is out now.
