Sea Girls - 'All I Want To Hear You Say'

London four-piece Sea Girls are setting sail to bring their radio-ready indie pop to the airwaves near you with new single ‘All I Want To Hear You Say’.

Their anthemic guitar sound and conversational lyricism put them in the lineage of The Wombats and Arctic Monkeys in the latter bands’ peak noughties years. However their latest offering has its feet firmly placed in 2018, with references to Facebook stalking your ex and longing for someone’s attention as affirmation for your existence (#relatable).

The track hits all the right spots that a good pop song should and is clean and confident. Like Fickle Friends before them, Sea Girls clearly aren’t afraid to embrace their pop sensibilities. The message of self-respect and not relying on approval from others doesn’t take away from the fact that ‘All I Want’ is an absolute bop. You can hear the joy in it.

If this single is anything to go by, these guys could be in for a very good 2019 and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the majors come knocking (if they haven’t already).  Only time will tell, but they clearly have a strong idea of who they are and where they want to go. Plus they seem to be having a good time whilst doing it.
