Foundlings - 'Horizon'

South-East London/ Brighton based band Foundlings have released their new single ‘Horizon’ off the back of touring around the UK. A bittersweet romantic song with a truly uplifting melody.

Alternative rock band Foundlings released their debut single ‘Misery’ this summer and then quickly followed up with their second release, ‘Your Sister', seeing the band receiving airplay from BBC 6 music, amazing radio and BBC Introducing. Foundlings fanbase has also continued to grow alongside recent gigs across the UK and regular appearances in London and Brighton.

‘Horizon’ is a bittersweet romantic track containing influences of classic Britpop & American slacker rock. You can hear influences from Echo & the Bunnymen and Courtney Barnett in this song which is such a cool fusion and very unique. Although the song gives off the feeling of a chilled indie pop song, it still makes room for an explosive guitar solo which really does sneak up on you, showing us the band can really mix it up when they want too.

Considering this is only early days for Foundlings, these few tracks really offer up the promise of an exciting future for the band seeings us eagerly waiting for their next release. A great track from this new band but there is definitely sparks and glimpses that they can produce even better.
