FUR explore trust and distrust in relationships in the coolest way in their new single, ‘Him and Her’.

‘Him and Her’ is simply cool and catchy. Under the influence of 60s psychedelic pop and rock, the single could sit comfortably on The Velvet Underground’s ‘Loaded’ album. However, ‘Him and Her’ is not outdated. It reminds me of the L.A. band The Growlers and some of the songs off The Last Shadow Puppets ‘Everything That You’ve Come to Expect’, such as ‘Miracle Aligner’.

The vocals stand out immediately on ‘Him and Her’. Frontman Murray sings Buddy Holly style melodies as if her were the lovechild of Bob Dylan and Alex Turner. Released ahead of a new EP, ‘Him and Her’ suggests that 2019 will be a good year for FUR and one that will see music fans of these genres having a lot to look forward to.
