Sinead O'Brien - 'Limbo'

One of the most exciting acts on the music scene at the moment is Limerick’s spoken-word punk Sinead O’Brien.

Following on from the dizzying, pessimistic irony of ‘A Thing You Call Joy’ Sinead’s latest single to be released on Chess Club is ‘Limbo’. Where the first single left Sinead pondering the question: “why am I always in recovery from a thing you call joy?” The latest single picks it up by asking: “do days like this hurt the head or do days like this help?” Beneath the hints of krautrock and post-punk, there’s a quick-witted lyricism and relatability which gives Sinead an undeniable charm.
