Fickle Friends - 'Amateurs'

Fickle Friends have returned in some style with the first taste of their second album with the new single ‘Amateurs’.

The four-piece have been the path to stardom for some time to become one of the UK’s brightest DIY bands, that popularity was only fuelled further by the success of their debut LP ‘You Are Someone Else’ which was one of my favourites of 2018.

It has been a whole year since the band was last seen on the stage, but new music also brings a return to the live setting with a mini tour set for December which will include a headline slot at the iconic London Omeara.

The last twelve months has seen the quartet working hard behind the scenes on their new LP and it is certainly proven to be worth the wait. Fickle Friends have took it back to basics, taking back the reigns of their production and their talent certainly shines through as the band take an adventurous shift from their trop-pop sound.

‘Amateurs’ explores the beginnings of a relationship and having the feeling of not being properly equipped for it, Fickle Friends have struck gold with ‘Amateurs’ and it is certainly exciting to see what comes of this new era.
