The Lottery Winners – ‘Little Things’

Lottery Winners continue to build excitement around their long anticipated, self-titled debut album with its second single ‘Little Things’.

It’s already been quite a career for the band who preside from the quaint town of Leigh, Lancashire where they their life on the pub scene. Skip forward a few years and the quartet are on the brink of releasing their debut LP having being uncovered by the legendary Seymour Stein. A lot of things have happened by the scenes for Thom, Kate, Rob and Joe, but ‘Hawaii’ was the first taste of what is to come in March 2020.

Lottery Winners have also build a strong fan base through their explosive live shows, supporting some of the biggest names in the world right now and their own headline tour this winter which will accumulate with their biggest show to date at Manchester’s Ritz next year.

The quartet have long been known for their feel good indie anthems, even their latest single ‘Hawaii’ which transported you to paradise. Though ‘Little Things’ stays within the band’s catchy indie sound, it certainly takes a sadder turn in the lyrics.

Frontman Thom admitted that ‘Little Things’ was a “difficult one” to write, speaking about how things change when they lose someone. Unsurprisingly a catchy chorus isn’t too far away, but it is refreshing to see Lottery Winners show maturity in their lyrics and adding another string to the bands bow.
