London based artist Seaker (Kiran Hungin) finds strength in love on raw, emotionally driven single, ‘You’.

’You’ opens with a hallowed ambience featuring heavy emotive keys and a gentle reverent buzzing. Seaker’s vocal comes in with her signature haunting atmospheric delivery, spilling pure secrets as she puts her faith in another person and revels in their glory. Soon lofi beats come in offering a jittery fludity to the track and the song takes on a mellow loungey kind of vibe in its piano melody, providing a smoothness to juxtapose some of the rawer parts of the production. Shivering, trickling textures are also introduced to add extra momentum and magic to the piece.

On the ideas behind ‘You’ Seaker explains: “The full song came about quickly, which isn’t common for me, and I didn’t want to overcook it and lose the real emotion that went in to those early takes, so I left a lot of them in. I love the raw and exploratory honesty of a demo and we often lose some of that during the process, so I wanted to keep that lo-fi, raw sensibility”.

This is a touching track that honours the sacred union between two souls and channels love as a source of hope and strength in times of difficulty.
