Rachel Chinouriri – 'Where Do I Go'
After the release of her debut EP ‘Mama’s Boy’ Rachel Chinouriri is back with new single ‘Where do I go?’, an emotional track asking the big questions.
“Where do I go? Where’s my soul delivered?” Wrapped in bass heavy melodies, Rachel Chinouriri speaks for everyone who has ever wondered about life after death and, in the process, takes you straight to heaven and back.
Slow and soothing, ‘Where do I go’ gives room to Rachel’s impressive vocals made instantly recognisable by her distinctive accent and the very unique tempo all of her songs seem to have in common. Switching effortlessly from calm verses to intoxicating choruses pleading for answers, she already is a force to reckon with and her emotive lyrics have a sense of urgency about them that makes this song impossible to forget.
Talking about the track, Rachel explains: "I begin to ask myself “where do we go after we die” and “where will my spirit/soul go?”. Will I go to a better place after this? Or is that better place with you? I think about how life on the other side could be and if I can take you with me. I say ‘take me home’ because I was always told, our souls come from the spirit world and return there after death and as long as you’re good here, you’ll go back to a beautiful kingdom."
