Jackie - 'Lifetime In A Touch'

Canadian outfit Jackie follow up their debut single, ‘New At Drugs’ with a funky blast of feel good alternative music on ’Lifetime In A Touch’.

‘Lifetime In A Touch’ is a slick and upbeat piece of music with an alternative rock edge that features tight, gritty guitar work of Marc Girardin and shimmering retro infused production of Max Trefler. ‘Lifetime In A Touch’ casually rolls into a hefty pop hook, confidently delivered by singer/songwriter Jackie Mohr that Katy Perry would be proud of.

Thematically, the band explore love and heartbreak from a female same sex perspective, bringing a positive vibe in releasing yourself from the control that a past lover has had over you.

As the track develops it grows into a heavier layered band sound with fuzzy guitars and crashing drums. This is a splurgy, funky, feel good tune with bundles of energy, intentionally melodically polished and rough around the edges, successful in straddling mainstream appeal and alternative, guitar driven appeal for those who like things a little left of center. A real banger that will have you coming back for multiple plays.
