DRAMAS speak to us about their gripping cinematic music video for profound single, ‘Eph’ (directed by Gregor Schmidinger) which explores the brevity of life and life after death.

Where was the video for ‘Eph’ filmed?
The video was shot in two old hospital gazebos in Vienna.

How does the video connect with the song?
it's like a visualisation of the song in terms of the mood, a possible interpretation of the lyrics, the art and style of the instrumentation versus the pictures. But maybe most important was, that the whole crew and us had a great connection and similar intentions.

Do you have any behind the scenes stories you can share with us?
Whatever happened behind the scenes stays behind the scenes.

Could you tell us about the ideas/ themes/ imagery used?

The lyrics and music desire and crave for a feeling and expression of something very fading, short lived and triumphant at the same time.
So we worked with some of the most elementary topics who describe all of this best in a visual language. The single individual, the
whole universe, life and death and all the unknown before and after.

Is there a message the video is trying to convey?
Of course! The chorus says it best: nothing is permanent, everything's permanently a part.
