Electric bluesman John J Presley has just returned from a sold-out UK and EU tour supporting Blood Red Shoes. While on the road, John collected some amazing personal photographs and has provided us with a intimate tour diary -

I really love Berlin. There’s an energy in the city, an energy of lots of people creating. I’d love to live here for a while at some point. Privatclub is the most Lynchian of venues. Lovely to catch up with Andy Zammit too of Bronze Rat Records, Gemma Ray.

We worked with Stu Curry, CC Tours on this run, who operate out of Sheffield. Absolute dream.

Vera, GroningenProbably one of the most perfect venues in the world. They’ve thought of everything. Mainly run by volunteers. Never a more slick operation and the alumni of bands passing through is incredible.

One of the Fender Rhodes keys kept sticking mid set. Further investigation found the culprit..  I think this lighter must have been in there for at least ten years, and could belong to the former owner, (the maestro) Rev James Leg.

A final message from John -

Thanks to Blood Red Shoes of course too. Pleasure to share stages around Europe with them all. I write this from Geneva airport where we’ve just played our second festival of the year, Antigel. We’re back out on the road in March playing shows to support the release of the debut album As The Night Draws In available from our website www.johnjpresley.com

Until then.

John
