Live At Leeds: Top Five Acts To Check Out
Festival season is fast approaching with our first stop just around the corner. If you’re heading to Live at Leeds on 4th May there’s a mega lineup with plenty of choice, so we thought we would help you out with five acts you won’t want to miss at this years festival!
Zuzu
Zuzu is a fun indie-pop artist from Liverpool, recently touring with Courteeners, Zuzu is winning fans by the day. Her powerful vocals make her performance on the BBC Introducing Stage at 8pm one not to miss! We’re sure it’s going to go down a treat.
Gently Tender
Gently Tender are made up of members from Palma Violets and The Big Moon, it’s a collaboration we didn’t know we needed. Slightly less upbeat than previous projects, the band are sure to win over Live at Leeds crowds with their psychedelic undertones. Having both original bands toured together and even played the festival on numerous occasions, Gently Tender are definitely worth making the trip to Brudenell Social Club for. Catch them on the Dr Martens Second Stage at 8:30pm
whenyoung
Ahead of their hyped debut album, set to be released 24th May, this is one of your last chances to see whenyoung before they blow up!
Touring relentlessly over the last couple of years, whenyoung have made a name for themselves with infectious indie-pop vibes and catchy lyrics. You can catch them on the Farah Stage at Leeds University Union Refectory at at 6pm.
The Mysterines
Seeing the Merseyside band open for The Amazons at their intimate show at Jimmy’s, Manchester, back in February left us wanting more! Catch them for their 5:30pm set on the Dance To The Radio Stage at Church for a heavy post-punk performance.
Lady Bird
This trio from Kent are going places, make sure to catch them for their set on the GigWise stage at Leeds Beckett Student Union at 8:45pm if you want a bit of fun before seeing your headliner of choice.
We’re hoping for another bank holiday full of sun! Live at Leeds is all about discovering new bands whilst remembering to catch your favourites. Good vibes all round, we can’t wait for a bit of fun in West Yorkshire.
