Alexander Luck - 'Fears'
New Zealand-born, London-based, singer songwriter Alexander Luck airs his ‘Fears’ on thrilling alternative single.
Alexander Luck shows off a scintillating blend of influences spanning indie/rock, dark pop, jazz and hip-hop, on new single, ‘Fears’. ‘Fears’ is a gripping listen led by Luck’s smouldering, mysterious vocal and the song suspensefully builds between spacious and layered organic and electronic arrangements. There’s a dark and self destructive atmosphere to the track, as Alexander makes himself vulnerable in his lyrical theme “all my fear are out” , but this is also balanced by sheer confidence, style and sophistication in a very self-knowing way.
’Fears’ is the gritty yet polished first single to be taken from Alexander Luck’s self-produced debut EP, which looks set to be released in early July 2019. You can also check out his new single ‘Start It Again’ on Spotify which shows off an edgier, less refined side to his talents, featuring vocal manipulation and a synth-heavier sound, but still channels the evocation and class as heard on ‘Fears’. A promising look into what I imagine will be an eclectic EP well worth looking out for.
