Declan J Donovan talks us through the love story in his music video for beautiful piano ballad, ‘Vienna’, out now via Polydor Records.
Where was the video for ‘Vienna’ filmed?
The video was shot in Preston in the north of England and it shows a guy waiting at the platform to start his journey to Vienna to see a girl.
How does the video connect with the song?
The video is loosely based on the song’s story as it’s all focussed around a bus station. The guy is daydreaming about seeing his girl and imagines them in the bus station together for the first time since they met.
Do you have any behind the scenes stories you could share with us?
I remember being so nervous filming my parts for the video. I had to perform the song in the active bus station with hundreds of people waiting for their bus! I’ve never been so out of my comfort zone before.
Is there a message the video is trying to convey?
Maybe just that if you want something, go and get it!
