Reading & Leeds Festival: BBC Music Introducing Stage - Top Five to Check Out
It is just over a month until one of our favorite events of the year, Reading and Leeds Festival, it takes over the August bank holiday weekend this year with the likes of the Foo Fighters, the 1975 and loads more graving it’s stages. Our favorite stage at the festival is the BBC Introducing Stage, the best place to catch the next stars of tomorrow.
Check out our top five picks to check out on the BBC Introducing Stage this year.
Marsicans
Our favorite boys from Leeds headline the BBC Introducing Stage on this year, after their mammoth set of opening up the Radio One stage last year! Currently in the studio working on that debut album we have all been waiting for, the lads are certainly going to put on a performance to prove it is going to be worth the wait.
LION
After supporting Band of Horses, and a number of festival appearances this summer. LION is another one of our favorites who will be headlining the BBC Introducing Stage this year. Expect honest, raw raspyness for her set this year. Definitely one of our top picks for the festivals, so make sure you go check out her set.
FEET
If you are familiar with this band, you know you are in for a bit of madness, while also having a good old boogie. Certainly a band to keep you on your toes during that mid-afternoon energy slump at the festival.
Blackwaters
If you thought punk was dead, go check out Blackwaters. Relighting the flame with the kick-in-the-face punk rage with a hint of art school thrown in.
Swimming Girls
A band that has gained the support of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Greg James, Alice Levine & Phil Taggart all in one sweep are certainly high up their on our list to check out at the festival this year. Their EP ‘Existential Fears’ dropped in June, and it certainly got everyone talking.
Reading and Leeds Festival takes place on the 23 — 25 AUGUST 2019. The festival has official sold out.
