SHEAFS - 'Care Less'

2-4.jpeg

You’ll be damned if you don’t love this.

‘Care Less’ is a big hard rocker from Sheffield’s SHEAFS. Produced by Spring King’s Tarek Musa, it’s pure rock n’ roll in its most raw form. From the opening driving riff over a drum beat that is reminiscent of The Hives, the five-piece play with anarchic energy and never let up. ‘Care Less’ is not mindless shouting rock nonsense. The vocals are barked down the mic, particularly in the “Damned if I do/Damned if I don’t hook”, but it is counteracted by smooth high-note guitar leads and a clever arrangement. Lyrically, SHEAFS “condemn those applicable social pressures of ‘fitting in’”, whilst also taking a moment to self-reflect: “I’m paranoid about your opinion”.

SHEAFS are about to embark on their headline tour, and based on ‘Care Less’, you would be stupid not to check them out.
