Pacific – ‘Idols’

Pacific are looking to build on 2019’s success and ignite the new year with the release of their brand new single ‘Idols’.

2019 couldn’t have gone any better for this Manchester band, with their unique piano infused rock sound garnering them national attention and a coveted slot at last year’s Y Not Festival. 2020 will certainly not see the four-piece rest on their laurels, following up their sell out gig at Manchester’s Night People with their biggest headline to date at Gorilla in April.

‘Idols’ shakes off the cobwebs of the new year as they infuse their signature piano sound with a heavier rock sound which is reminiscent of the early work of Editors. Reading through the lyrics for ‘Idols’, you certainly get the idea that the songwriting duo of Anthony and Daniel Orzel are at odds with an individual, a tension you can sense in Dan’s vocal and the heavier adopted sound and it makes ‘Idols’ different to anything currently in the indie genre.

‘Idols’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Pacific will play their biggest headline show to date at Manchester’s Gorilla on April 3rd.
