Raveen - 'At My Best'
Montreal-based three piece Raveen shares exciting new single, ‘At My Best’.
‘At My Best’ impresses with an incredibly artful production. A backdrop of atmospheric electronica is infused with a rhythmic bassline and bittersweet strings to capture the struggle of falling in love while trying not to lose a sense of self. Hope and anxiety battle it out in emotive lyricism as vocalist Eric’s captivating voice momentarily parts the synthy fog – “You may twirl a thousand times in winter in your best summer dress. And I may tailor so precisely my blue smile, so as to never give you me at my best.”
‘At My Best’ serves as a first taste of Raveen’s latest project - “an experiment in more direct songwriting and storytelling” – that sees the trio venture into new avenues of sound and gives us something to look forward to.
