Felid - 'Blame'

Felid is striking while the iron is hot, following up the success of his debut single with his latest cut ‘Blame’.

Also known as Jay Rodger, the soloist was one half of the highly successful Mauwe who amassed 10 million streams and also a prestigious slot at Glastonbury during their run. Now working under the pseudonym of Felid, he has been amassing credit in his own right, with dazzling sounds are already unearthing a dedicated fan base with only one single under his belt.

Debut single ‘Take It Off’ was released into the world at the beginning of October, with that and ‘Blame’ forming the beginnings of an upcoming EP which show his different palette for alt-pop.

Felid is a one-man outfit, with ‘Blame’ being self-produced and self-written during a late-night shift at a hotel and certainly displays escapism with fizzy electronica and tender sonics blissfully leading us along.

Falling into place quickly, the track touches on a breakdown of a relationship and the other party blaming you for “moving on” but offers hope and strength within yourself to “move forward” as you choose.

Felid has once again hit the jackpot with a track that is as powerful as it is catchy and will stand him in good stead as one of the brightest musical prospects we have at the moment.

‘Blame’, the new single from Felid is available now on all major streaming platforms.
