Hannah's Little Sister - 'Gum'

Liverpool quartet Hannah’s Little Sister share chaotic anti-capitalist anthem ‘Gum’.

‘Gum’ is an interesting piece of music, to say the least. Yelping vocals are trapped in a spiral of wonky synths and manic basslines. But though their weird, futuristic sound seems to defy every rule of order, Hannah’s Little Sister make it work. Intriguingly different and undeniably exciting, the track does exactly what it sets out to do: it makes you listen up; pay attention to the band’s anti-capitalist message.: “’Gum’ is another sort of rant about consumerism and how it’s constantly distracting us from ourselves and from the state of our society/country/government/world etc. - all of the things!” vocalist Meg says about the track. “I wrote it to remind myself there’s a difference between what I want and need, and what I’m being told or shown I should want or need.”

‘Gum’ is a call to action that sounds loud and clear. Join the revolution. Let yourself get inspired by Hannah’s Little Sister’s funky brand of sound and their no BS view of the world.
