Far Caspian - Warning Sign'

The bedroom pop maestro, Far Caspian is building us up for an exciting 2021 with his new single ‘Warning Sign’. 

 Also known as Joel Johnston, the Far Caspian project has come a long way from Johnston’s basement studio in Leeds, with Far Caspian’s combination of guitar and lo-fi melodies garnering him attention as one of the pioneers of the ‘Bedroom Pop’ genre. 

The horizon is looking prosperous for Johnston, with his debut album in the pipeline for 2021 and ‘Warning Sign’ is the first taster of what we can expect from the LP and acts as a welcome return for Far Caspian with his first single since March this year. 

‘Warning Sign’ is led by a minimalist backbeat which is big in its prominence and quality with the impact feeling seamless and effortless. The track in essence speaks about being “part of a relationship” that should end but are “holding onto it”. ‘Warning Sign’ is strong right throughout and brilliant showcases Far Caspian as one of the UK’s most talented and detailed producers.
