Deco - 'Brakes On'
Deco aren’t showing aren’t showing any signs of stopping just yet as they continue their biggest year to date with the new single ‘Brakes On’.
It has already been quite the year for this outfit, having impressed many with their debut EP ‘Real Life’ back in the early embers of the Summer. ‘Brakes On’ is quite the opposite of what this band is doing as 2020 closes out, with the new single being hopefully accompanied by some socially distanced shows in December.
Deco have quickly garnered a reputation for their ability to get hips shaking with their infectiously catchy, pop-influenced sound, taking the very best of the 80’s and new-wave to create something that is very difficult to get out of your head.
What was impressive about Deco’s debut EP was the overarching themes of the dangers of modern technology, which was brilliantly articulated in the lyrics, we see something very similar in ‘Brakes On’, this time focusing on relationships and “fear” that comes from commitment.
‘Brakes On’ has everything that a Deco fan could wish for within it, but it is refreshing to see this band begin to reflect their growing maturity in their music and adds a new layer to this band we can look forward to prospering with each release.
