Darragh Chaplin - 'Go'

London-based singer songwriter Darragh Chaplin shares stirring 80s inspired indie pop with bubbly heartbreak anthem, ‘Go’.

One of the loveliest thing about Darragh Chaplin is his ability to craft heartbreak pop that somehow makes his listener feel lighter. This is in part due to Chaplin’s smooth vocal and vulnerable lyrical delivery which sees him spin sadness into soundscapes fuelled by optimism.

‘Go’ is the latest in a line of emotive, 80s retro inspired indie pop. Here, Chaplin explore the theme of endings and cutting ties with friendships that start to feel heavy.

“It's quite a conversational song, I was imagining what I would say to this person.” Chaplin explains. “ I felt like I had given so much energy into this friendship and I just felt it wasn't being reciprocated. It's hard to want to be there for someone to help them understand that that they need to learn from their mistakes when their mistakes always end up making you unhappy.”

Drawing from influencers such as HAIM, Lauv, and Troye Sivan, ‘Go’ is unabashed, effervescent and airy indie pop at its finest and it’s out now!
