polar caps - 'circles'

West London Indie Pop artist Polar Caps releases his dreamy new single ‘Circles’.

Polar Caps is the pseudonym of Owen Hughes-Holland who is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist as well as producer.  With a very impressive list of previous support slots under his belt including Jake Bugg and The Cribs, Polar Caps has already begun to make a name for himself.

His new single ‘Circles’ which was released via Alaskan Records was also self-produced, which only adds to its charm. Talking about how he wrote ‘Circles’ polar caps says, “the acoustic guitars came first (very naturally), then the vocal melody, which is somewhat a cry for help. Then followed the piano, pads, horns, bass, electric guitar and drums”.

‘Circles’ is polar caps first release in 3 years and was born out of desperation, emulating the feeling of being trapped in an emotional maze.  Combining hauntingly beautiful falsetto melodies with delicate picked guitar and wistful brassy pads, Polar Caps is sure to be a hit with fans of Bon Ivor or Novo Amor
