Introducing #113 - Lime — When The Horn Blows

Let us introduce you to our new favorite band - LIME, who have just released their debut single ‘Surf N Turf’. Like all things musically coming out of Brighton at the moment, LIME are blooming into one of the fresh, cool faces coming out of that seaside scene, fusing together a unique mix of surfer vibes with catchy indie guitars. They took a moment to talk to us about the band and the debut track.

Where does the name LIME come from?
Came from boredom on a sunday evening in Guildford

Your debut single ‘Surf N Turf’ is out now, what is the inspiration behind the title and what is the track about?
All we are going to say is, cheese isnt vegan.

Who would you consider you keen inspirations as a band musically?
It’s always evolving, but at the moment FEET, Squid, Courtney Barnett to name a few...

If you could sum up the band in three words, which would they be?
Tuneage. Spoonage. Boogage.

You are based in Brighton, where do you like to go for a night out and where do you go for your musical kicks?
Gotta give it to Mashtun, Kings & Queens and Spoons. Hope & Ruin or Green Door Store are our fave venues, cant go wrong.

Now the debut single is out there, what next? Whats are your plans for the next few months?
Lets just say keep your eyes and ears open ;)
