Sucker Song Of The Week: The Pretty Dark - 'Sailing'

Indie newcomers The Pretty Dark have just released their cathartic debut EP ‘Poetry in Crime’ which includes single ‘Sailing’ which is our Sucker Track of the Week.

‘Sailing’ infuses melodic guitar hooks, descriptive narratives and nuanced vocals. The track is an impressive early statement from the alternative/rock 6-piece which has already been picked up by their local BBC Introducing show being crowned ‘Record of the Week’. Speaking about the song the band said “‘Sailing’ is a song about a man losing the battle with his own mental health "wicked people can get lost at sea", so he builds himself a protective raft (treatment) to help him sail’”
