In an instant world, artists are looking to trendy sounds, gimmicks and virality to help usher them into the spotlight overnight. London-based indie songstress Tina Boonstra is the perfect antithesis of this. Poised and conscious of her vision, she's slowly released one stellar project after another, all while cutting her teeth on London's open mic circuit.

It seems her efforts were a successful trial-by-fire, as each release compounds her defined, biting style and her ever-expanding audience continues to grow. Her first release of the year, and our first taste of forthcoming EP 'City of Doubt', Tina emphatically returns with 'Out of my Depth'.

A sharp indie cut that carries themes of escape and empowerment, the instrumentation builds around her attitude laden voice, closing with a glorious crescendo.

Tina explains, "Out of my depth is about a period in my life when just getting out of the house felt like an insurmountable challenge. I was in a set of circumstances that I felt ill-equipped to deal with and worst of all, I felt like I was dealing with them completely on my own. The light was sucked out of my days and my nights were spent wide-eyed and wired as I tried to figure out my next move."

We are delighted to provide the first listen, and consider appetites truly whet for the next chapter.
