The Magic Gang - 'Think'

The Magic Gang really get you thinking on their long-awaited return with the new single ‘Think’. 

This four-piece have already made a big impression, with their self-titled debut album being one of the best of 2018 and it wasn’t hard to see why with each track being as infectious and catchy as the next. Two years have flown by with the quartet flying pretty much under the radar apart from the occasional show, but 2020 is already set up for The Magic Gang to make their star shine brighter. 

All aspects of this band will be going up a gear, including the calibre of live shows which starts with a coveted support slot alongside Blossoms which will include a stop at the Manchester Arena. It’ll certainly be interesting to hear what this band have been cooking up, with ‘Think’ certainly taking them in a different direction. 

Its soaring horns are the most distinctive change, keeping things very soulful but is a welcome change of flavour, while keeping everything that has made The Magic Gang successful thus far. There’s also a new sense of maturity to their lyrics, with Kris Smith describing ‘Think’ as a “cautionary tale” of “avoiding conflict”. ‘Think’ is a very welcome return for The Magic Gang and has only increased the anticipation around their 2nd album. 

‘Think’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and The Magic Gang will begin their tour with Blossoms at Norwich’s UEA on March 7th.
