A Day In The Life Of: #14 - Jamie Hannah

Following on from a string of releases through his self-described “ethereal dance pop” guise, British artist Jamie Hannah returns to showcase his forthcoming new EP with the vibrant and uplifting new offering ‘Secret Paradise’.

Following in the footsteps of acts like Lauv and Years And Years, ‘Secret Paradise’ couples soft and wistful vocals with a bold and bouncing production, giving this new release a truly euphoric feel.

So with his new material about to come at us thick and fast, we sat down with the singer and producer to find out what goes into his average day.

My Alarm goes off at 7.30am…
And I hit it three times before I get up.

At 8.00 am, the first thing I do is…
Coffee and a shower and head for the gym – weight training, maybe classes, cardio and probably a swim.  Then a high protein breakfast

My typical day involves…
Gym, several walks round the park with my dog, planning and writing my music and creative content releases, a healthy lunch, vocal training and exercise, maybe a session with my vocal coach, perhaps a session in the studio, maybe a photo-shoot for a new release or a magazine article, possibly a radio interview or a rehearsal if I have a gig coming up.

The best part of my day is…
That walk in the fresh air and sunshine with my golden retriever.

The worst part of my day is…
Probably washing up or emptying the dishwasher.

At the end of my day I…
Will have a shower, meditate and listen to some new music

If I wasn't a musician, I'd be…
Studying Human Geography at the University of Edinburgh.
