Luz – 'I'm lonely'

Eighteen year-old singer songwriter Luz has had an eventful year, going from recording covers in her bedroom to being noticed by the likes of Masie Peters, Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan. Now, she is blessing us with another original.

‘i’m lonely’ impresses with a divinely simple soundscape that allows Luz’s extremely beautiful vocals to shine, covering the song in a veil of sorrow when she talks about something as simple as, well, loneliness - “Why don’t we talk? I’m lonely, […] please can you hold me? That’s all I ask, no more than that. […] I’m lonely, why can’t you hold me?”

Here is an artist who doesn’t need much to sparkle, all she needs is her voice that is at the same time soft and soothing while pleading with an intensity that makes you want to keep listening forever.
