Bristol-based singer-songwriter Harvey Causon releases immaculate new single ‘Half Hour Verve’ that hits a nerve in trying times.
‘Half Hour Verve’ is shaped by sensual rhythms and intoxicating beats. Combining warm electronics with delicate, piano led melodies, Harvey creates a soft, soothing atmosphere weaved around emotive lyrics.
Speaking about his new single Harvey says: “The song depicts a young woman having short bursts of energy (verve) for half an hour every day whilst being burdened with flu and not able to leave a sofa for a week. A property developer man working in the building opposite turns out to be watching on through a rear window. As a spectator of this I kept catching this man, his mannerisms and routines and constructed his personality in my head. The song then goes on to remark that, with regards to the global lockdown, we’ve stepped 'out of time’ and out of alignment giving way to large scale reflection.”
