Latir – 'Wallflower'
London singer, songwriter and poet Latir teams up with Leeds-based producer Luvian on new alternative RnB track ‘Wallflower’.
Bouncy rhythms and groove-infused synths create a careless, breezy atmosphere and set the scene for Latir’s easy flowing vocals. Light, bright and sunny ‘Wallflower’ is a different kind of love song, talking about love through a lens tinted not just by adoration but a slight shade of envy - “You should know, I wish to be just like you. Oh, your freedom had me feeling kind of blue. Slightly jealous, you’re contagious though it’s outrageous that I found you.”
Reminiscing about the songwriting process, Latir explains: “This was actually the first creation Alex (Luvian) and I ever got started on, we made the verses on my birthday a while back but couldn't get the chorus quite right that day. A year later we revisited it and the chorus came like a spark out of nowhere, and I think we have both been in love with the tune ever since! For me it represents all the things I love with music, classic melodies, a fun story line, a serious bounce and a concept that has been close to the heart since I could remember! This one is a staple piece for me for sure.”
