The Ninth Wave - 'Happy Days!'

The Ninth Wave announce their return and are pushing their sound in a number of directions with their new single ‘Happy Days!’. 

This group of Glaswegians have wowed many with their gothic, electronic-pop sound, their 2019 album ‘Infancy’ garnering critical praise. ‘Happy Days!’ is the start of. Brand new chapter for the group, adding two new members from the Glasgow scene and a new EP announced for the summer of the same name. 

A new era means a new sound, taking a step away from ‘Infancy’ while keeping a strong melody at the core. Though ‘Happy Days!’ have stripped down, they’re certainly not showing restraint as they create the world of “ups and downs” and a failing romance.  

‘Happy Days!’ proves to be an instant anthem and well worth the risk in the exploration of different sounds, The Ninth Wave have to be praised for their rawer and realer approach and certainly makes their upcoming EP one of the most anticipated releases of the year. 

‘Happy Days!’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and the new EP from The Ninth Wave will be available July 17th.
