R&b artist Ravahn has released her self-produced track ‘Fuse’ - a song that explores her experiences of seeking God. Her soft vocals are greeted with a unique beat mixing reverb. She took a moment to talk to us about the track.

So your track ‘FUSE’ is out now, can you tell us what the track is about?
“FUSE” is about my experience seeking God. I was unfulfilled and presented with questions I did not have the answers to. Things were happening in my life that challenged and reveal the flaws in my thought processes, etc.

Where was it recorded?
It was recorded at Blendworks Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Are there any behind the scenes stories from the recording process?
This was my first time singing about God like this, so recording it came with some discomfort. I had to shake off some old things I was still carrying (fears, insecurities, etc). I could feel my vulnerability as it was new terrain for me. I love it. I’ve been working on new music and there’s a shift. I’m now much more comfortable singing about God.

What do you hope your listeners take from the track?
I hope listeners take away that God is a loving God, and that it’s okay to reach out to Him from where you’re at. I spent so much of my life missing the mark, and I got to the point where I had to admit that I just didn’t know what I was doing.

What next?
I’m working on my next singles and a music video. I’ve been uploading videos about different topics on my Youtube channel (@RAVAHN) as well, so stay tuned for those!
