Gracie Abrams – 'Long Sleeves'

`Previous releases like ‘Mean It’ and ‘Stay’ have already put Gracie Abrams on the map as an artist to look out for, new single ‘Long Sleeves’ drives the point home fully embracing her gorgeous brand of intimate bedroom pop.

Graceful and gentle, Gracie wraps emotion into the softest of sounds. A stripped back, intimate setting of dreamy guitars and strings gives room for Gracie’s tender vocals to unfold. Led by her extremely emotive lyricism, ‘Long Sleeves’ paints a powerful picture of head vs heart - “If you hear me leaving in the morning, could you please pretend that it was only wind. ‘Cause I can’t love you even if I want to, got a lot to work through, you don’t know where I’ve been. It’s been a long time coming.” This is the kind of song that is, at the same time, cathartic and haunting, soothing and unsettling, but either way exceptionally beautiful.

Talking about the track, Gracie explains: “Long Sleeves is the song I’ve been trying to write since I was 14. Finishing this one felt like I could actually breathe differently. I’d never really felt closure like that before.”
