Callum Pitt - 'Out of the Trees'
After a stellar 2019, Callum Pitt is back and is better than ever with his new single ‘Out of the Trees’.
Pitt has slowly and steadily built on his talents which resulted in a 2019 to truly remember for the soloist. From numerous festival appearances, his debut EP ‘Poisoned Reveries and his first UK tour towards the end of the year where he showcased his finger-picking folk anthems to the masses.
2020 is all geared up to eclipse Pitt’s efforts, with ‘Out of the Trees’ the first of three singles scheduled for this year depending on the current situation. The new single will tick many of the boxes that fans have become accustomed to, but sees Pitt explore an unusually dark origin to get to the ultimately uplifting message.
Joined on vocals by band member Annie Griffiths, ‘Out of the Trees’ is inspired by “cult leaders” and the comfort that is brought from someone “having all of the answers”. Pitt masterfully filtered that into him coming to terms with “mortality” and making the time we have “more meaningful”.
‘Out of the Trees’ really sees Pitt test himself in terms of his lyrics and passes with flying colours with a track that has a bittersweet and beautiful at its core and truly certifies Callum as one the country’s most up and coming talents.
‘Out of the Trees’, the new single from Callum Pitt is available now on all major streaming platforms.
