Midnight Mouth – 'Feel Better'

West London indie-rock band Midnight Mouth inspire hope with new single ‘Feel Better’.

Bouncy drums and hazy guitars drive the track, putting ‘Feel Better’ into the “careful, catchy” category while emotive vocals mingle with a dreamy soundscape and create a softly comforting atmosphere that is reflected in its uplifting lyricism – “Don’t pull the carpet from your own feet or kick the crutch that keeps you up […] take your grey hairs and smile at them instead.” Here is a song that gets better and better with every listen until it’s stuck in your head for good.

Talking about ‘Feel Better’, lead singer and rhythm guitarist Scott explains: “This song actually started out on the piano, and I already had the verse and chorus progressions. I then wrote the lyrics on a bus after having one of THOSE days. The song is simply about doing anything - big or small - to make yourself feel good again. Don't bother doing that exercise routine and block your ex-girlfriend on all platforms. If it's going to make you feel better, then do it.”
