Saint Clair – 'goddess'

Emma Topolski aka Saint Clair announces the release of her deeply personal EP ‘in the violet hour’ and gives a first taste with heart breaking opening chapter ‘goddess’.

Following the loss of her father, ‘in the violet hour’ explores the different stages of grief. Each song represents a different emotional state, starting with ‘goddess’: denial. Saint Clair’s rich, soulful vocals no doubt take centre stage on this one. Giving a voice to unfiltered emotions, they act as a bridge between the track’s understated production of dynamic piano-led grooves and its poetic lyricism. Beautiful and reflective, ‘goddess’ speaks from the heart – “when you’re lying on the kitchen floor, nothing’s godly anymore.”
