PELA - 'South Of'

South London’s lo-fi pop duo PELA share new release ‘South Of’. Following debut single ‘You Got Me’, the track solidifies their glittering brand of vocally driven sound.

‘South Of’ sparkles with ease. Smooth glistening soundscapes of bright electronica and laid-back beats sail the track into soothing waters while Hannah’s cool vocals create a wonderfully moody undertone. 

Talking about the track, PELA explain: "‘South Of‘ is the first song we wrote together and made us decide to become PELA. We landed on a particular sound world, existing on the intersection of our musical influences, which created the driving beats, flirtatious vocal duet and climatic ending that you hear. With ‘South Of‘, we realised that we could look at songwriting / production in a new and less linear way (than what we were doing individually) and this ignited PELA's sonic identity, paving the way for our future tracks."

But PELA are not just an invincible team in music, they stand up for causes that matter, which is why they have decided to split all revenue from Bandamp sales between the Black Lives Matter UK fund and the Justice for Breonna Taylor Fund.
