After the phenomenal success of debut single ‘Internet Religion’, pop sensation Baby Queen drops a second bombshell: follow up single ‘Buzzkill’.

With spoken word verses that explode into a big hook-heavy chorus, Baby Queen once and for all claims her crown as the most exciting pop act of 2020. Effortlessly cool and sugary sweet, ‘Buzzkill’ is the epitome of grunge-pop. Anthemic guitars and sucker-punch vocals give the track a rebel-with-a-cause feel while pulsing synths and soaring melodies leave an infectious aftertaste. Electrifying, intoxicating, subtly intimidating, Baby Queen gives you the low-down on depression through vivid, defiant lyricism – “In every crowded room I feel unnaturally alone. It’s like I’m living in a dream, but all the characters are me. I’m disillusioned by the world and I am filled with apathy.”

Baby Queen combines all the best of past pop icons (Billie Eilish, Lorde, Charli XCX) and maximises the flavour by putting her own twist on their sound recipes. The sky is the limit for this young artist though, at this rate, she’ll shoot for the moon in no time.
