Dublin-based indie artist Somebody’s Child shares ‘We Could Start a War’, the second single taken from his upcoming EP ’20-something’.

‘We Could Start A War’ takes its power and influence from its hard-hitting lyricism. While bouncy beats and punchy rhythms speak for Cian’s skill to craft captivating soundscapes, it’s poignant lines like “I won’t rest aside for fear of feeling pain. I will use my mind and make use of it all” that cut the deepest. Born out of an ever-present anger with the state of the world, ‘We Could Start A War’ inspires as much as it provokes, especially in light of the Black Lives Matter movement.  As Cian explains: “This track was written before life changed for everyone and has developed a much deeper meaning over the last couple of months”.

‘We Could Start A War’ is a brilliant follow up single to ‘Love That Sound’ that showcases a different, more defiant side to Somebody’s Child’s infectious brand of indie pop and fuels expectations for his upcoming EP ’20-something’.
