Rosie Shaw - 'Summer Doesn't Feel the Same'

Oxford-born singer-songwriter Rosie Shaw introduces a new sound formula on stunning new single ‘Summer Doesn’t Feel the Same’.

Despite its minimalist production, ‘Summer Doesn’t Feel the Same’ feels larger than life. It’s all vocals. Stripped of any kind of background noise, everything you hear, sense, breathe are mesmerising echoes of Rosie’s layered re-verb heavy harmonies (think Birdy meets Phoebe Bridgers). And it makes you listen, really listen, to what she has to say. Rosie’s exceptionally emotive, heart-breaking lyricism most definitely steals the spotlight – “It’s funny how it hits you late at night, turning up the radio to cry. People distract me and it feels like magic, but summer doesn’t feel the same without you here beside me.”

This dreamy number is the first single taken from Rosie’s debut EP (set for release later this year). Let that sink in; It’s only the first taster of what’s to come and it’s already one of the - if not *the* - most memorable song of 2020.
