Superstrings - 'Heavy'

Superstrings share shiveringly good, dark cinematic pop on their latest release, ‘Heavy’.

Superstrings are a duo of film music writers, comprised of Carolin Heiss & Marc-Sidney Muller, who are independently realising their music worldwide with their digital distributor, Believe Digital. Written and produced in Motril, Spain and mixed and mastered in Munich and Berlin, ‘Heavy’ is a gripping listen that pulls its listener through magical and ethereal textures, juggling haunting minimal dynamics with fuller trip hop meets industrial leaning sounds, before transitioning into dreamy and surreal grunge-tinged territory.

On the ideas behind the track Superstrings explains, “The song is about guilt - we might always try to do the right thing with the best of intensions and still fail. My doings aren’t always be the best for everyone and someone evens suffers from my decisions. The video and song is a very intimate and close look into the eyes, the soul and vulnerability of a human being. The mirrored motions and images show the ambiguity of our perceptions and actions.”

An honest and haunting offering that intimately shudders with the weight of sorrow on its shoulders.
