Meadow Meadow - 'Fireworks'

The duo Meadow Meadow continue to build their way towards their debut EP with their psychedelic new single ‘Fireworks’.

Made up of Peter Darlington and James Green, this duo was bonded by their time in Spring King and that friendship withstood heavy times after the breakdown of the former indie darlings. The Meadow Meadow project started initially as a healing process, but it has expanded beyond that especially in their musical palette which will be showcased in their debut EP.

Lockdown has brought its own challenges for the two-piece, having to record remotely between London and Manchester but ‘Fireworks’ has proven to be a great result of that as we receive a track that is both psychedelic but is bursting with joy and giddy imagination right throughout.

‘Fireworks’ does leave you with a fuzzy feeling on repeat listening, but the importance of the track is way more than that, creating a “parallel universe” where experiences come together to form a “new perspective”. It is heartening to see this duo haven’t been left out in the cold by their past experiences, taking it and adapting it into something new and unique and makes Meadow Meadow a genuinely exciting project to keep an eye on.

‘Fireworks’ is available now on all major streaming platforms and Meadow Meadow will release their debut EP on August 19th.
