Let us introduce you to emerging artist Chloe Rodgers - who has just released her new single ‘A Delphian Lullaby’ through Crowds And Power. You may be familiar with Chloe’s name from when she collaborated with production outfit Twenty Committee - she took a moment to talk to us about her music.

Hey there Chloe, how are you?
I’m very well thank you! And you?

So your new track ‘A Delphian Lullaby’ is out now - can you tell us what the track is about?
Of course!! It’s about being so in love with somebody who you slowly learn is a narcissist and the relationship becoming toxic/ abusive, and how difficult it is to get yourself out of these situations

You are based in Nottingham, what is your favourite thing to do there?
I’m not really sure at the minute, since the lockdown everything has changed so much. My friends & I have switched from going out in town all the time to going to the countryside for walks and having house parties, which I might prefer! I do really miss the Nottingham music scene though.

Where do you go for musical kicks?
Previously the Maze in Notts city centre was always my favourite place to go but unfortunately it had to close down last summer. I met all my bestest friends there through the massively varied range of music they showcase and even hosted a few events there myself. Everyone was welcome and you’d meet some incredible & wacky characters. Since it closed down it’s been a struggle to find somewhere new to replace it to be honest!

Who would you say are your keen musical influences?
The lyrics and melodies of Radiohead inspire me so much. I can’t even put into words how emotional some of their songs make me feel and I’d love to be able to evoke that feeling in others through my own songs. I’d say the same about Billie Eilish probably.

If you could describe your music in a few words - what would they be?
I mean, I’ve written a lot of different styles of songs so it’s hard to summarise all of it. But I’d describe A Delphian Lullaby and the song I plan to release next as ethereal, cinematic and left-field.

Now the track is out there, what next?
We have 3 more singles to work on getting out there and making videos for etc and that’s as far ahead as we’ve planned as of yet I believe! & Hopefully we will be able to use them to help get some decent gigs booked in for next year.
